Isa, I looked at a hat pattern I had used before to get an idea of general proportions (how many to cast on, how many inches high before decreasing, etc.), planned the little design out, and just went for it. I plan to make it again and write down the pattern exactly for future use. I'll post when the pattern is ready for public consumption!
